Campaign for Healthy Lighting: How to Write a Book Review on Amazon
Now THE LIGHT DOCTOR has been published, we need to broaden awareness of the importance of healthy lighting
Dear Substack supporter:
My new book, THE LIGHT DOCTOR: Using Light to Boost Health, Improve Sleep, and Live Longer, is now published in paperback and on Kindle.
Now I need your help to educate everyone who could benefit from healthy lighting.
A staggering 8,000 new books are published every day1. So it takes a special effort to get the attention of potential readers.
One practical way you can help is to write a brief review of THE LIGHT DOCTOR on Amazon. Strong and thoughtful reviews with lots of stars are very helpful in making a book stand out in a crowded marketplace.
How to Write an Amazon Book Review
First, buy a copy of THE LIGHT DOCTOR on Amazon. Amazon currently has a 33.3% discounted price of $19.98 (vs the $29.95 list price) for the paperback. The Kindle version is $9.99.
Once you receive your copy of THE LIGHT DOCTOR, you are a “Verified Purchaser”, which permits you to write a review.
To find the "Write Customer Review" button you have to scroll all the way down on the THE LIGHT DOCTOR Amazon book page to reach the “Write Customer Review” button: as shown in the screenshot below)
Tips on writing an Amazon book review book include:
1. Create a compelling headline
2. Tell readers about the specific interesting things you learned and the value of the book
Here are a couple of reviews. Both are 5-star reviews, but one is most helpful to the potential reader by explaining clearly what they liked about my book. Your own words long or short are all very much welcomed. You will help the widest possible audience to become aware of the importance of healthy circadian lighting.
Together with your help, we can convert the world to healthy lighting
Many thanks,
Martin
