Please help me choose a Subtitle for THE LIGHT DOCTOR
Which subtitle would attract the greatest readership for the upcoming paperback print edition of THE LIGHT DOCTOR?
In 2023, my book THE LIGHT DOCTOR was published as a serial online and became a Substack best seller. Now, in response to many requests, I am publishing a print version of the book, later this spring.
I need your help. Which Subtitle should I use? I want to encourage the widest audience to buy my book, so they can learn how to use the right light at the right time to boost their health, well-being, and lifespan. Scientists already understand the health problems with using blue-rich LED light at night, so it is most important to reach the health-conscious general public who are still quite unaware.
(FYI: A brief summary of the THE LIGHT DOCTOR is provided below).
The first question below tests two potential subtitles.
THE LIGHT DOCTOR: The Science and Solutions for Replacing Your Lights Now to Protect Your Health
THE LIGHT DOCTOR: Using Light to Boost Your Health, Improve Sleep and Live Longer
Book Summary
Today’s LED fixtures, light bulbs, and screens are designed to produce cheap light with little regard for human health. Like DDT and asbestos, they are dangerously flawed technologies. THE LIGHT DOCTOR reveals extensive scientific evidence that establishes the risks of artificial light at night, including cancer, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and hundreds of other diseases. In addition to explaining the science of light, THE LIGHT DOCTOR provides the practical information you need to counteract these risks at home, in business and medical offices, and public spaces, hospitals, and care facilities.
Here is how to find and install healthy light bulbs and fixtures for both residential and commercial space; how to obtain the lights you need for evening and night use versus daytime; and how to obtain energy-efficient light that is also safe and healthy. You will also learn which outdoor lights to install to avoid harmful effects on wildlife, another inadvertent consequence of the LED revolution.
Subtitle Option 3: "A Prescription of Better LED Light for Better Health Outcomes"
The second sub-title has a more inviting 'ring' to it.
